The Crew release date in November: Closed Beta begins on PS4, Xbox One, late-game content revealed
Gearing up for the game's release date, The Crew's closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One is here, following a successful run of the PC beta during the summer.
This particular beta program offers the entire map of the United States for a full game, with missions mostly taking place in the Midwest and East Coast area.
There will be 30 missions, 200 skill challenges and 6,200 mileas of road in total.
According to the game's official website, "You will also have access to two PvP lobbies, one in the Midwest and the other on the East Coast, where several races will be waiting for you to prove your skills against other players!"
Creative Director Julian Gerighty also clarified that what they are launching are technical betas and not marketing betas.
This means that community feedback is very important, and that changes ay still be applied when the next-gen action driving video game comes out next month.
Furthermore, players won't be getting the full gaming experience and achievements will not be transferred to the actual game when it releases.
The Crew opens registration for the "waiting list" of the closed beta.
Ubisoft has recently completed a playtest, reached level 50 and teased about the late-game content.
"How differently each type of car handles. While this is clear early on in The Crew, it feels even more pronounced during these late-game races and missions. Barreling up a mountain path using a Raid Spec car is a completely different experience than finesse driving with a Circuit Spec ride. The former requires a fearless, reckless abandon, while the latter had us carefully blipping the brakes and goosing the gas in order to nail the best racing line," wrote Gary Steinman, Ubisoft's Sr. Communications Manager.
The upcoming The Crew release date is scheduled for Nov. 11 on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
