2017 Acura NSX news: Acura begins taking orders for highly-anticipated supercar with the launch of NSX Online Vehicle Configurator
Acura is now taking orders for the highly-anticipated 2017 NSX supercar. Since the 2017 Acura NSX is a build-to-order vehicle, the the first step of the ordering process will have prospective buyers visiting NSX.Acura.com to virtually configure their supercar.
"The launch of the next-generation NSX configurator not only turns up the Acura NSX excitement another notch, but takes us one step closer to delivering the NSX to our first customers. Customers and fans alike have been waiting for this moment, and now they are able to build the incredible new Acura NSX of their dreams," said Jon Ikeda, VP and GM of Acura.
Once customers have selected their desired NSX configuration, they would then be able to set up a one-on-one consultation with authorized NSX dealers. Orders will now be accepted at authorized dealers across the country.
The 2017 Acura NSX comes with a starting price of $156,000. Then, using the configurator, customers can add on their desired super car features.
There will be eight exterior colors. The standard choices are Curva Red, 130R White and Berlina Black. For metallic white, silver or gray, customers will need to add an additional $700. For the signature Andaro Valencia Red Pearl or Nouvelle Blue Pearl, customers will have to add $6,000. There are also four interior color options – Red, Orchid, Saddle and Ebony.
The Carbon Fiber Exterior Sport Package ($9,000) gives the NSX supercar sportier carbon fiber design cues seen in the front spoiler, side sills and rear diffuser. There is also a dark chrome exhaust finisher. Meanwhile, the Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package ($2,900) includes a hand-wrapped carbon fiber meter visor, a carbon fiber steering wheel and aluminum sport pedals and footrest.
The Technology Package, which starts at $2,800, allow prospective buyers to equip their super car with the ELS Audio System, the AcuraLink infotainment system, the Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition and Digital Traffic and parking sensors.
Acura is also offering individual options like a carbon fiber roof ($6,000), carbon fiber engine cover ($3,600), carbon-ceramic brake rotors ($9,900), semi-aniline leather power sports seats ($2,500) and a black Alcantara headliner ($1,300), among many others.
