Fans of the pre-Batman TV series, "Gotham," get a nice new treat this week. FOX has just released a brand new trailer for their superhero-slash-crime drama show.

"Gotham" pilots its second season with an episode titled "Damned If You Do." The episode will introduce right away the newcomers, Tabitha Galavan aka Tigress (Jessica Lucas) and brother, Theo (James Frain). It will also bring fans straight to Arkham Asylum.

The two-minute clip for the episode promises as much. The video is set purely in the infamous Arkham Asylum and starts with a line-up of its inmates wondering where they are. It cuts to a glimpse of Cameron Monaghan's Jerome, said to be the early stages of The Joker. There is also a quick look at Barbara Kean (Erin Richards).

Then Theo and Tabitha walk in. Tabitha does not say much but Theo chats up the inmates, promising the "first day of a wonderful future." He tries to convince them to work as a team, who will make Gotham tremble.

The last few seconds has Barbara saying she cannot be a "brilliant outlaw" and Theo convincing her otherwise. The clip closes and fans are left wondering how James Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) ex-girlfriend will respond.

It is indeed a short, sweet clip; not much action, pure talkies. And if anything, fans are left with more questions than answers about the new season. But it does give a hint as to how season two will give rise to the villains.

The villains will, obviously, come from Arkham Asylum's crazed inmates. Sounds familiar? It should. Because that's also how the infamous Suicide Squad started, but just with a different rationale behind their anti-hero acts.

Suicide Squad or not, Arkham Asylum's rising villains will definitely give Gordon and the rest of the Gotham City Police Department a whole lot of headaches in season two. They will also be joined by Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), who has been trying to reign over the city since the first season.

Watch the rise of these old and new villains (and apparently, Batman) when "Gotham" season two pilots on FOX this Sept. 21.
