Sony confirms that Capcom's Street Fighter 5 is PlayStation-bound, and it is going to be released for PS 4 exclusively, during the recently concluded PlayStation Experience.

"Street Fighter V is coming and will be console exclusive to the PlayStation 4," the official Sony announcement said.

Alongside the revelation is a cinematic trailer that featured popular Street Fighters such as Ryu and Chun-Li。

"What's even bigger news is that our partnership with Sony will result in SFV having cross-platform play, which will in turn unite our Street Fighter fans into one grand player base."

The more exciting part of this is that PC owners can combat PS 4 gamers, and vise versa. However, there is no definite date yet for the release of both Ultimate Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter 5.

Phil Spencer, Chief of Xbox, was quick to respond to a fan regarding Street Fighter 5 exclusivity to PlayStation. Like a pro, he looked at it as part of the business' nature.

"Business deals happen. We won't do all of them. When we have a 1st party franchise in a genre I'd rather invest in ours," Spencer tweeted.

Another reply gave a spark of hope for Xbox One fans.

"Love the idea of game franchise bartering, I'll work on making amends for SF," he said, referring to the possibility that Microsoft will snatch Banjo-Kazooie or Conker game exclusively for Xbox One.

Prior to the confirmation of Street Fighter 5 for PlayStation and after the culmination of PlayStation Experience, Spencer expressed his confidence over unannounced Xbox-exclusives for 2015.

Microsoft has completed the deal to secure exclusive release of Rise of the Tomb Raider in 2015.
