Toshiba Portege Z20t news: 2-in-1 Ultrabook features Intel Core CPU and battery that can last up to 17 hours

The Toshiba Portege Z20t is a versatile Ultrabook described as the "perfect balance of productivity and mobility." The 2-in-1 device can be used as a traditional clamshell laptop or the detachable display can be used as a tablet. 

The Toshiba Portege Z20t features a 12.5-inch Full HD touch-enabled display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The diagonal display has an anti-glare coating and can be set-up in forward or reverse mode. The LED backlit keyboard is also spill resistant. The ultra versatile device is encased in a magnesium chassis. It weighs 3.30 pounds as a laptop and 1.60 pounds as a tablet. 

The Portege Z20t also comes with a high-precision pen stored inside the tablet. The display has accurate handwriting recognition and it reportedly feels like writing with a pen on paper.

There are three laptop configurations featuring the latest Intel Core processors.

The first model is the Portege Z20t-B2110 ($1,399.99). It is powered by the Intel Core M-5Y51 processor with Mobile Intel HD Graphics. There is 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage.

The second model, the Portege Z20t-B2111 ($1,599.99), is powered by the Intel Core M-5Y71 processor with Intel AMT 10.0 and Mobile Intel HD Graphics. There is 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage.

The Portege Z20t-B2112 ($1,699.99) is the top-tier model. It is powered by the Intel Core M-5Y71 processor with Intel AMT 10.0 and Mobile Intel HD Graphics. There is 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage. 

The 2-in1 Ultrabook comes with a 5 MP rear camera with autofocus and digital zoom. It can also take 1080p videos. There is also a 3 MP Full HD front camera with a microphone. The device comes in Graphite Black Metallic and preloaded with either the Windows 7 Professional OS or the Windows 8.1 Pro OS. 

The Portege Z20t is equipped with a 3-cell 36 Wh battery that provides up to 17 hours of battery life as a laptop and 9 hours in tablet mode. It also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. 

For ports, the tablet has a microSD slot, a micro-HDMI output and a micro USB 2.0. The keyboard dock comes with two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, Ethernet, VGA and a full sized HDMI port. The Portege laptop also comes with an innovative locking system to make it immovable and minimize vulnerability to theft.
