TomTom Spark GPS Fitness smartwatch lets users store up to 500 songs
IFA 2015 saw the arrival of numerous smartwatches and one of the best unveiled is the TomTom Spark. It comes with an impressive memory capacity, which can contain nearly 500 songs and has built-in GPS. The TomTom Spark Fitness GPS range has six models, which customers can choose from.
While the TomTom Spark Fitness GPS range was making its public debut at the IFA 2015, the company released a press release on its website. The company stated that the device was a "fitness tracker and integrated music player," which will allow users to boost their fitness levels without having to carry around a paired smartphone. Android Community echoed the same description and said in its review notes that the device, even though is mostly a sports watch, allows users to listen to music while working out or running — and this is its primary benefit.
However, not all models of the TomTom Spark GPS Fitness smartwatch have the capacity to store 500 tracks and the ability to monitor the user's heart rate. In fact, the basic features of the TomTom Spark GPS Fitness Watch simply include, GPS, sleep tracking, step tracking, calorie tracking, as well as distance tracking.
All six variants have the 5ATM rating, which means they can be submerged in up to 50 meters of water. The TomTom Spark Cardio versions come with optical heart rate sensors while the four versions, which have music, come with 3 GB of storage on board. Finally users can track the details related to their activity by simply using the TomTom MySports app on a paired smartphone.
As for the prices for the six variants, they have yet to be revealed. However, Android Community mentioned that since the Cardio Music GPS model of the TomTom Spark has been priced at €249, it could mean that the device will cost around $277 in the United States. As for their availability, it is expected that all variants will be arriving in stores by October of this year.
