'Tom Clancy's The Division' release date, beta news: beta testing to get underway in early 2016 ahead of March release

"Tom Clancy's The Division," an open world third person RPG, was first unveiled during the 2013 E3. After more than two years in development, Ubisoft finally announced the game's release date. The upcoming game was also made playable during the 2015 E3.
Unfortunately, the passage of time was not kind to "Tom Clancy's The Division." As the game underwent subsequent delays, the game lost its buzz and gamers soon lost interest. According to the Christian Post, the upcoming game has also been met with negative feedback, specifically for its gameplay, downgraded graphics, and engine.
To counteract these negative sentiments, Ubisoft has been active in releasing new information about the upcoming game. The game developer also promises that the game's release date is final and will be not be subjected to further delays.
Ubisoft will also be commencing beta testing later this year. Beta testing for Xbox One will begin in December, while beta testing for PS4 and PC will be in early 2016. Hopefully, feedback from players will help improve the game before its official release.
Despite the mixed reactions from players, it seems that Ubisoft's "Tom Clancy's The Division" is still a promising and exciting game. The game is said to be set on a post-apocalyptic and epidemic-ridden New York City where a group of survivors search for weapons, ammunition, and gears. While players spend time foraging and looting throughout the game, they will also engage in PvP battles when they enter certain parts of the city called "Dark Zones." Players also have the opportunity to score rare items while in Dark Zones.
Ubisoft also announced that they will be releasing two premium versions of the game. The Gold Edition ($100) comes with a copy of the game, an exclusive National Guard Gear Set and the Season Pass. The Season Pass gives players access to DLC content and exclusive benefits. The Collector's Edition ($160) contains the contents of the Gold Edition, but comes with exclusive memorabilia including an Agent Watch Replica.
Players who pre-order the game will also have guaranteed access for the beta testing.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2016 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows.
