As Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 4, it revealed a number of accessories for it including an improved Surface Pen and Type Cover. These new accessories are backwards compatible with older devices like the Surface Pro 3.

Type Cover

The Type Cover is an essential accessory as it transforms the Surface Pro 4 into a laptop and Microsoft has improved its features. It is now lighter and thinner compared to previous options and its trackpad has become bigger. Priced at $129.99, it is available in a variety of colors and can be attached to the tablet-laptop hybrid with magnets. There is also a costlier $159.99 version that comes with a fingerprint scanner and it has a bigger trackpad made of glass.

As for the other keyboards for the Surface Pro 4, there is the Slim Cover from Zagg which can attach onto the device via a magnetic hinge. It also has island keys that provide a better typing experience and can be paired with two devices running Windows simultaneously via Bluetooth. Other features include reinforcement on its base and backlit keys.

OEAGO Case for Surface Pro 4

One of the best ways of providing protection to the Surface Pro 4 is by using a case and one such option is already available from OEAGO. Made from PU leather, it comes in three colors and can be ordered on retail websites.

Surface Dock

Using the Surface Dock, a Surface Pro 4 can be transformed into a desktop computer. Among the ports on the device is one Ethernet, four USB 3.0, one audio, and two Mini display options.

Surface Pen

The most recent Surface Pen has additional features and has an eraser on the end that lies opposite to the pen tip. It has a pressure sensitivity of 1,024 levels but users can still rest their hand on the screen when writing on the Surface Pro 4. Users can also click on the Surface Pen once to access One Note on the device and immediately start creating a note, and they can click twice to capture the content on its screen. Finally, there are additional pen tips available and by using these, lines of varied thickness can be drawn.
