Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7: Xperia Z4's hardware gives Samsung device a real challenge

The Xperia Z4 Tablet from Sony and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 from Samsung are two of the best tablets that were released this year. Here is how these two tablets face off in a comparison.
Design
When it comes to design, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is mostly made of plastic but it uses mineral glass on its back and its corners are covered with stainless steel. Aside from that, it is very slim, measuring only 6.1 mm. It is also water and dust proof as it comes with an IP68 certification which means it can be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, on the other hand, has a metal frame which gives it added durability. However, its back is made of plastic. Its biggest advantage over the Xperia Z4 Tablet is the fingerprint scanner, a feature not present on its competitor.
As for colors, the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and the Xperia Z4 Tablet are similar as each comes in black and white.
Display
The Xperia Z4 Tablet is bigger than the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. It has an IPS LCD screen measuring 10.1 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a density of 299 pixels per inch while the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 has a super AMOLED screen measuring 9.7 inches with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a density of 264 pixels per inch.
Specs
The hardware on the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 includes an octa-core CPU with four cores clocked at 1.9 GHz and four clocked at 1.3 GHz. The Xperia Z4 Tablet, on the other hand, has the very latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz along with an Adreno 430 GPU.
Memory
Each device has a memory slot and each allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. In terms of RAM, they both have 3 GB.
Price
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is priced at $770 while the price point of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is expected to be revealed next month.
