Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Android 4.4.4 KitKat available now, Grand 2 also gets KitKat update

Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE is now accessible via CyanogenMod 11 M8.
The latest build comes out a month after the M7 versions was released, and is available for the S4 LTE variant running 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 quad core processor and bearing GT-I9505 variant code.
XDA Developers explains the update further:
"The CyanogenMod 11 M8 release brings quite a lot to the table. For starters, M8 is the first official snapshot release based on Android 4.4.4. There is support for several new devices such as the Xperia Z2, Xiaomi Mi2, Oppo Find 7a/s, and OnePlus One."
XDA Developers website also provided the complete changelog:

- New Devices: Sony Xperia Z2 (sirius); Xiaomi Mi2 (aries); Oppo Find 7a/s (find7); OnePlus One (bacon)
- Common: Fix VPN issues related to 4.4.3 merge
- Common: Enable 'Heads Up' notification mode (Settings > Notifications)
- Settings: 'Interface' replaced by 'Status Bar', 'Notification Drawer', and 'Gestures'
- Settings: Moved 'Expanded Desktop' to 'Display'
- Settings: Moved all lock screen related items to 'Lock Screen' and removed duplicates from 'Security'
- Settings: Moved 'Navigation Bar' layout control to 'Buttons'
- Trebuchet: Custom Homescreen grid size
- Trebuchet: Add Protected Apps feature
- Trebuchet: Add Search Panel (Google Now) option
- WhisperPush: No longer ignores 'Blacklist'

In another news, Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 finally gets the much-awaited Android 4.4 KitKat firmware.
This update will include up to 4.4.2 version and the TouchWiz launcher.
India will be the first market to receive the update for dual-SIM models, and both single and dual-SIM Galaxy Grand 2 handsets worldwide will get the same KitKat treatment in the coming weeks.
