Samsung Galaxy J3 specs: mid-range successor to the J2 gets certified by the US FCC

The successor of this year's Galaxy J2, Samsung Galaxy J3, has recently received its certificate from the United States' Federal Communications Commission (also known and referred to as the FCC). Unfortunately though, the certification for it did not reveal much of the details for the mid-range handset.
According to the report from GSM Arena, the certificate of Samsung Galaxy J3 has only revealed a couple of minor details for the smartphone. As it was stated there, the mid-range device has been tested on several different networks, specifically on 3G, 2G and on LTE. Moreover, the phone is said to carry a model number of SM-J3109 based on the certificate posted by the FCC.
In terms of specs though, sadly, the handset doesn't have any high end components under its hood considering that the Samsung J series phones have always been considered and looked at as a mid-range class device.
On GSM Arena's report earlier last month, the geekbench result of the phone has hinted out that the Samsung Galaxy J3 will most likely come either with a 5-inch or a 4.7-inch screen with 720p display quality. As for its power, the J2 successor is said to run on an older chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 410 processor and it will be backed up by 1GB of RAM and an 8GB storage capacity. The latter is said to have expandable feature via MicroSD card, however, there's still no news yet on the maximum size.
Lastly, for the camera specs, the Samsung Galaxy J3 will sport in an 8MP rear (or main) camera while the front-facing snapper is said to come with 5MP lens. Moreover, the phone will run on the previous Android operating system version, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Needless to say, it would still be best to take these specifications with a tiny pinch of salt for now until Samsung officially unveils the mid-range handset Galaxy J3 before jumping into conclusion.
