(Motorola)New Moto DROID Turbo models are rumored

Most Android enthusiasts know they cannot go wrong with Motorola smartphones. Moto phones have a very solid, loyal fan base who knows they can always rely on the company to come up with phones with Android friendly interfaces, fast performance and great software extras. And the next generation of Moto DROID Turbo phones is expected to be the same.

Fans are extremely excited and are eagerly anticipating the launch of the 2nd gen Moto DROID Turbo which they expect will be released soon as it was seen in the FCC along with the latest version of the Moto X and Moto G.

Reports have been pouring in that a new DROID smartphone is on the horizon after an alleged DROID device was sighted in an FCC document. The document reportedly states that this new DROID handset is powered by an 8-core Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 chip, that it supports turbo charging, has MiMo WiFi and LTE Advanced.

It also seems that this Moto Droid will be carried by Verizon Wireless in the US based on HelloMotoHK's Facebook page which leaked an image of the back panel. The Facebook photo showed what appears to be either a plastic or rubber back covering. A back camera could also be seen, with what might be a LED flash positioned underneath.

Another hint that the release of the next gen Moto DROID Turbo might happen soon is the recent roll out of the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update for the DROID Turbo. Motorola recently encouraged DROID Turbo users to check out the upcoming software for the model. The company did not mention whether the test is for the Android 5.1 OS, but the DROID Turbo is still running on the Kitkat 4.4.4 version of the Android OS.

The rumored second generation of Moto DROID Turbo is not the only handset that might be launched. There are reports that Motorola is also gearing up for the release of the Moto X and Moto G 2015 which are said to be chockfull of great specs and amazing features.
