'Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor': Release date delay on PS3 and Xbox 360, latest trailer [WATCH]
Warner Bros. Entertainment has confirmed that the release of the upcoming Lord of the Rings action role playing game Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be delayed for Xbox 360 and PS3.
According to Warner Bros., the last-gen versions "will take more time in development" and will be launched on Nov. 18 and 21 across North America and Europe respectively.
The opposite is true for the release in next-gen consoles.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will hit Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC on Sept. 30, earlier than the previously announced Oct. 7 for next-gen consoles and Oct. 2 for PC.
The game is based on Tolkien's established universe that saw mega hit box office success.
"The Monolith Productions team has collaborated on MIDDLE-EARTH: SHADOW OF MORDOR with Middle-earth Enterprises, Peter Jackson and the artists at Weta Workshop to ensure that the settings, characters and story align authentically within canon," said the game's developer.
Lord of the Rings fans of both the movies and the book will enjoy reliving the discovery of the origins of the Rings of Power and confronting the evil of Sauron.
"You are Talion, a Ranger of the Black Gate, keeping watch over Mordor which has remained undisturbed for ages. In the blink of an eye, everything is taken from you - your friends, your family, and even your own life. Resurrected by a mysterious vengeful spirit, you must now embark on a relentless vendetta against those who have wronged you," the synopsis of the game reads.
Those who will pre-order the game will get exclusive playable character skin and Test of Power challenge mode.
The latest trailer of Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor features Troy Baker and Nolan North, two of the biggest voice actors in the gaming realm.
