Microsoft Surface Book specs, price, release date: dazzling hybrid laptop/tablet already sold out on Microsoft's online store

(Microsoft Store)

Microsoft's latest innovative device, the Microsoft Surface Book, has just been sold out in the company's online store thus possibly proving how successful the launch was despite the steep price of the computer.

According to the report from Tech Crunch, the latest Microsoft Surface Book has received amazing reception from fans and it even resulted to the computer being sold out in the tech giant's online store. Moreover, every available variant for the Surface Book has been made unavailable in the United States Microsoft online store.

One of the most probable reasons why people bought the new computer is the fact that, if one chooses it to be a laptop, it can and if the user wants to convert it into a tablet, the Surface Book can also do that.

Since this is also part tablet, many might presume that the specs of it are a bit on the mobile device side. However though, the specs of Microsoft Surface Book are actually quite surprising and outstanding considering that it can also double as a tablet.

As listed on Microsoft's official specs page, the Surface Book will sport in a 13.5-inch screen with PixelSense technology and a display resolution of 3,000 x 2,000. Power-wise, this laptop/tablet hybrid will run on two different variants of Intel's 6th gen i5 or i7 processor as well as two different GPU, one from Intel for the i5 which is the HD Graphics 520 and from nVidia for i5 and i7 GeForce GPU that has 1GB of pure dedicated VRAM.

Speaking of memory, the Microsoft Surface Book has a RAM of 8GB but the company stated on their post that it can be maxed out to 16GB. Furthermore, in terms of storage capacity, the Surface Book will be sporting the new SSD storage tech where users can choose from the average 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or even an eye dropping 1TB SSD.

Other details include a battery life that can reach for an amazing 12 hours of video playback, an operating system of Windows 10, a 5MP front-facing snapper and an 8MP main, rear camera that is capable of recording 1080p video.

The price for the Microsoft Surface Book starts at $1,499 but sadly, since the device is currently sold out, looks like fans will just have to wait for it to be available again in the Microsoft online stores. No words yet though as to when it will happen.
