Konami's developer Robert Peeler has just announced controller, keyboard and mouse support for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, due for a 2015 release date, and already launched Ground Zeroes for Xbox, PlayStation and PC via Steam forums and an infographic (end of article).

"Unfortunately, Dual Shock 3 and Dual Shock 4 controllers, while supported, will not have proprietary input displays in the UI. The controller inputs rather follow the displays common to Xbox Controllers," Peeler said in one of his posts.

He also confirmed that Ground Zeroes' frame rate is locked at 60. There is no further detail if Phantom Pain will follow suit.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes was released earlier this year as a prologue to the larger world of The Phantom Pain. The PC version of the game will be available on Steam on Dec. 18.

Meanwhile, Phantom Pain overall director Hideo Kojima received a "lifetime achievement award" at the 32nd Annual Golden Joystick Awards, for the impressive Metal Gear Solid series, which has gained a solid following around the world across many generations.

The event was held in London but, unfortunately, the ever-busy Kojima was not able to attend the occasion. Instead, he sent an acceptance video to express his gratitude to fans for the support. Very visible in this video is the official poster of Phantom Pain placed right beside him.

Metal Solid Gear 5: The Phantom Pain is scheduled for a market release date sometime in 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
