Lumia 950 vs LG G4: Device from Microsoft has the advantage with great design and price
When the new Lumia 950 arrived in the market, it got a lot of competition from other devices such as the LG G4. It is clear, however, that the polycarbonate and metal clad device from Microsoft has several advantages compared to the plastic device from LG.
Design
In terms of design, these two devices are quite different as the Lumia 950 has a metal frame and polycarbonate on its back. However, it does not have a fingerprint scanner, which is also missing on the LG G4. When it comes to colors, there are only two options: white and black. The LG G4 has an ergonomic curve, which allows for the device to be easily held when making calls, but it is made entirely from plastic and does not have any metal on it. As for its back panel, it is crafted from polycarbonate and comes in three colors: gold, gray and, ceramic white, but there are additional versions made from leather. These leather back panels have a stitch running down the middle and come in a number of natural colors including red, brown, and black.
Display
When it comes to display size, the LG G4 is ahead as it has a 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch. As for the Lumia 950, it has a smaller 5.2 inch AMOLED screen with the same resolution so its density is higher at 564 pixels per inch.
Specs
Comparing their hardware, both devices are similar as each has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, coupled with a hexa-core CPU comprised of two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.82 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz along with an Adreno 418 GPU.
Memory
There is 3 GB RAM on each of these devices. The memory slot on the Lumia 850 supports up to 200 GB, while the LG G4 supports up to 128 GB.
Camera
The camera on the LG G4 is a 16 megapixel version with OIS, which is also present on the 20 megapixel camera on the Lumia 950.
Price
The LG G4 is priced at $199 with a two-year contract, while the Lumia 950 has a price tag of $550.
