New leaked renders of LG's upcoming device named the LG Stylus, model number LS770, have surfaced online, providing more evidence that the Korean tech giant is working on a stylus-enabled smartphone. LG's first Stylus device, the LG G3 Stylus introduced in August 2014, is still available in the market and the company now appears to be developing its successor.

The LG Stylus was first spotted in early March when it was approved by the FCC. According to earlier reports, the LG Stylus, will sport a 5.8-inch display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 quad core 64-bit processor, featuring an Adreno 405 GPU, along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which will be expandable via a microSD card. The LG Stylus is expected to run Android Lollipop and will use a 3,000 mAh battery. According to some reports, the device is actually the G Note, but is now being called the LG Stylus.

Initial reports had suggested that the LG Stylus was a part of LG's new high-end series that would compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, the latest reports claim that the LG Stylus is actually a successor to the LG G3 Stylus featuring mid-range components and an embedded stylus.

In the newly leaked renders, the handset bears the model number LS770, which corresponds to the smartphone that was passed by the FCC last month. The images show the LG Stylus appearing to feature the volume and power buttons on the back of the phone, instead of on the sides where there are no visible buttons. In the earlier leaked photos, the LG Stylus was shown with rear-fitted physical buttons, a laser autofocus unit and a dual LED flash flanking the primary camera. The new images show the back panel looking like brushed aluminum, but is likely to be made of plastic.

LG will be unveiling its flagship smartphone LG G4 on April 28 at a press event where the company could also announce the LG Stylus LS770.
