LG G4 Mini release date, specs, features, price: Smaller version of LG G4 discovered in Vodafone database; June release expected

There have been reports of LG planning to release a smaller version, dubbed the LG G4C, of its recently launched flagship smartphone, LG G4, early next month. Now following the technical details of a lower-spec mini-G4 leaked just a couple of days ago, the LG G4 Mini has been spotted in a Vodafone database in Hungary, where the device is seen listed in the carrier's "M" category, indicating the midrange segment. It is believed that LG G4C and the LG G4 Mini are one and the same, with the device being a smaller version of the LG G4 featuring lower specs.

Recently, details of the LG G4C had been leaked on a Dutch retail site Centralpoint. No hardware specifications of the LG G4C (model number LG-H525N) were mentioned on the Dutch retailer's website, but since it was alleged to be a smaller version of the flagship LG G4, the handset is expected to pack less powerful specs.

According to reports, the LG G4C will feature a 5in IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, as compared to the 5.5in screen in the original LG G4. The LG G4C will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB RAM. The smaller version of the flagship LG G4 would offer 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a MicroSD card. The LG G4C is expected to pack an 8 megapixel rear-camera, with LED flash and auto-focus, along with a 5 megapixel selfie camera. The device is likely to run Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG's native user interface, LG UX 4.0, and house a 2540mAh battery.

The latest sighting of the LG G4 Mini in Vodafone Hungary's inventory suggests that a smaller version of the LG G4 is in the works. The LG G4C will reportedly be available in the price range of $312 to $335 and go on sale in early June, though there has been no official confirmation yet from LG.
