Galaxy S6 vs LG G Stylo vs LG G3: Galaxy stronger in design and specs

The Galaxy S6 has been outselling devices made by rivals such as LG since it released earlier this year. Here is how Samsung's flagship device compares to the G Stylo and last year's G3.
Design
The S6 has lots of premium style thanks to its metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on its back panel while LG opted to use plastic on the G Stylo and G3. On the G Stylo the back panel is made from patterned polycarbonate while the G3 has a brushed metallic finish which gives it a classic look that is missing on its sibling. However, the G Stylo has a stylus as its name implies which its competitors do not have.
Display
When it comes to display size, the G Stylo outranks both the G3 and Galaxy S6 as it has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a density of 258 pixels per inch. The G3 on the other hand has a slightly smaller IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch. Finally the Galaxy S6 has a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 577 pixels per inch.
Specs
Comparing the specs between the three, the clear winner is the Galaxy S6 as it is much faster. The S6 comes with an Exynos 7420 chipset, an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A57 cores and a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. On the G3 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801chipset, a Krait 400 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU, while the G Stylo has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, a CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz and an Adreno 306 GPU.
Memory
When it comes to memory slots, the Galaxy S6 does not have one and so it lags behind its rivals the G3 and G Stylo as each features a slot which allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. In terms of RAM, the Galaxy S6 and G3 have 3 GB each while the G Stylo from T-Mobile has 2 GB.
Price
The LG G Stylo is currently priced at $289 at full retail from carriers such as T-Mobile but it can also be bought under a two year installment plan that costs $12.08 per month. The LG G3 on the other hand costs $99 with a two year contract and the Galaxy S6 costs $199 with a similar contract.
