Galaxy S6 Edge vs LG G4 – The LG G4 is outgunned by S6's hardware and stunning screen

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has often been described as the most beautiful smartphone of the year, and compared to it every other phone appears to be plain. However, this is not the case when it comes to the LG G4 as it also has a curved screen.
Design
The design of S6 Edge allows it to stand out from other phones and it comes with a stunning screen with dual curved edges that flow over it right and left hand side. The screen is also functional and one edge can used to display the top five contacts and colors assigned to them. It can also display news alerts and a night clock. Coming to the LG G4 it has a curved body and screen but the curved extends from top to bottom. Named the "SlimArc" the curve protects the screen in case of accidental drops. When it comes to build, the S6 Edge has a metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on its back panel while the LG G4 has a plastic body with polycarbonate on its back panel. Additionally the LG G4 has optional leather panels dyed in a variety of natural colors which can be swapped out with the default plastic versions.
Display
The display on both devices are extremely sharp, and the S6 Edge comes with a super AMOLED screen measuring 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 576 pixels per inch. As for the LG G4 it has a bigger IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 538 pixels per inch.
Specs
In terms of specs even though both devices were released recently the S6 Edge is faster. It has an Exynos 7420 chipset, a octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. The LG lags behind the S6 Edge because it does not come with the latest SoC but instead has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core CPU with two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.82 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and an Adreno 418 GPU.
Memory
When it comes to memory slots, the S6 Edge has a serious disadvantage as it does not have a slot but the LG G4 has one that allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. As for RAM, the LG G4 and the S6 Edge both have 3 GB each.
Price
The Galaxy S6 Edge is priced at $299 with a two year contract while the LG G4 costs $199 with a similar contract.
