Last year, the title of the most beautiful phablet was often awarded to Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge as its curved screen overshadowed other devices but the recently released HTC One M9 smartphone has proven to be a worthy competitor. Here is how these two devices compare.

The captivating feature of the Note Edge is its curved screen that flows over its right side. More importantly, it functions independently from the main screen and can be used to display a night clock, notifications from apps, news alerts and even quick launch icons for apps.

The device is mostly made of plastic but it has a sturdy metal frame and great features including a fingerprint scanner, S Pen Stylus and comes in two colors, black and white.

As for the One M9 , it screams top quality as it has an impressive, hand-polished metal unibody. Just like the Note Edge, it, too, has a fingerprint scanner. As for colors, it comes in gray, gold and silver.

As for the One M9 , it has a super LCD3 screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch.

Specs

The specs of the Note Edge cannot keep up with those of the One M9 which comes with a Mediatek MT6795T chipset, an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and a PowerVR G6200 GPU. As for the Note Edge, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Krait 450 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU.

Memory

In terms of memory slots, these devices are equal as each version can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage. As for RAM, each has 3 GB on board.
