'Attack on Titan' season 2 news: Anime series may return in 2017
While there is no official word yet if the manga animated series "Attack on Titan" is getting a second season run, indeed, fans of the said series are persistent with the claim that a season 2 is happening, and it is going to be filled with more fun and excitement that will leave the fans clamoring for more.
It was previously reported that "Attack on Titan 2" would run on the "Clash of Titans" and "Uprising Arcs" for the anime's second season. However, this may not be the case anymore. Fans of the series claim that "Attack on Titan 2" will not be a sequel of the first season of the anime series; rather, it will have its own plot and will not be based on its manga version. According to reports, the script for the upcoming season of "Attack on Titans 2" is almost done, and the series may return before 2016 ends.
The latest report, though, is that "Attack on Titan" season 2 is really happening, but its fans will have to wait until January next year before finally experiencing once more the kind of entertainment that the anime provides. Reportedly, this piece of news was revealed by Manu Guerrero, marketing director of Selecta Visiòn, which is the official distributor of the anime. Apparently, the information divulged by Guerrero came from Kodansha, although the latter is yet to reveal the specific date of the release.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors claiming that the upcoming "Attack on Titan" season 2 will feature the death of Levi Ackerman as he protects the Shiganshina trio. It is also rumored that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will introduce a beast-like titan and reveal the identities of Colossal Titan and Armored Titan.
On the other hand, it is also reported that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will already be the swan song of the manga anime series. Naturally, it left the fans of the anime, who, until now are still clamoring for a season 2, in protest.
