As promised, Rovio has officially released the Angry Birds Transformers edition for iOS users worldwide, and the Android version release date is not far off either.

"Angry Birds Transformers is launched today in Apple App Stores around the world, with the Android version on Google Play to follow on October 30th. When the Eggspark crashes to Piggy Island, it changes the birds and the pigs - and also the eggs!" Rovio's blog stated.

"Get in on the action and help Autobirds and Deceptihogs save Piggy Island from EggBots wreaking havoc all over the place! The totally new gameplay in Angry Birds Transformers gives you feet and wheels - assemble into play!" the blog added.

Soft launches started in September in the following countries: Finland, New Zealand, Canada and Australia.

The Angry Birdscharacters have been suited up as the Transformer's Autobots and Decepticons: Red as Optimus Prime, Chuck as Bumblebee, Hal as Grimlock, Bubbles as Jazz, Terrence as Heatwave, Corporal Pig as Galvatron, Foreman Pig as Lockdown, King Pig as Megatron, Chef Pig as Soundwave and another Chef Pig as Starscream.

The official gameplay trailer illustrates infused power and special skills of each character.

Rovio announced that they are fusing the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds in E3 last June.

The game can be downloaded on iTunes Store for free, for iOS 7.0 or later.

"It's been a while since I've last played an AB title. I believe it was Rio. Going back to the first AB to this current title is like night and day," according to an early review posted in iTunes.

It continued, "You can clearly see how the studio has evolved a cash cow machine such as AB into what it is today. The graphics, sound and playability are all top-notch in this title. If I had to rate this title on a scale of 1 to 10 it would definitely be a strong nine. Do yourself a favor and try this game out I'm sure you will enjoy it."

Angry Birds Transformers will be available on Google Play and Amazon on Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 respectively.
