The alleged roadmap update to Android's latest operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, for Samsung's most current flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has been leaked online. The leak suggests that some flagships will receive the Marshmallow update as early as December.

According to the report from Times News UK, the leaked roadmap for the Samsung flagships update contains two phases for the release. The first one, which presumably is the high priority, has the latest phones and devices from the company like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

The first flagships that are set to be updated are the Galaxy Note 5 (model number SM-N920G) and the S6 Edge Plus (model number SM-G928G). These two handsets, according to the leak, have already been approved and if it turns out to be legitimate, fans can expect the update to roll out next month.

The next two handsets in line are the Galaxy S6 with model number SM-G920I and the S6 Edge with model number SM-G925I and the update is expected to come sometime January 2016.

The Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will come at a much later date, sometime February 2016.

As for the previous phone models like the Samsung Galaxy S5, unfortunately, the leak did not indicate any timeframe as to when the phone will receive the Marshmallow update. Furthermore, other previous flagships have also been named on the leak which also do not have an estimated release date.

Samsung still hasn't released any statement regarding the leaked roadmap for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for their Galaxy handsets. Needless to say, until the manufacturer officially confirms the details on the leak, fans are advised to take it with a tiny pinch of salt for now.
