Gaming desktops and gaming laptops are probably the most popular platforms in the market today in terms of potential uses, aside from of course, using them for playing video games. However, now, it seems like phones and tablets can now also be considered as handheld gaming consoles, especially with the reveal of Acer's latest products, the gaming smartphone, Acer Predator 6, and the gaming tablet, Acer Predator 8.

During the company's press release at the big tech show, IFA 2015, Acer finally shared the details of their upcoming gaming tablet, the Predator 8. According to their announcement, the gaming tablet is said to sport an 8-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200.

The tablet is also going to be powered by an Intel processor chip, Atom X7 and an Intel HD graphics card for a more powerful processing speed and clearer display quality. The device will also be backed up by a 2 GB of RAM. In terms of space, Acer mentioned that it will come with 64 GB of internal memory capacity, which can be expanded to up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.

The other one, the Acer Predator 6 gaming smartphone, as reported on The Verge, will sport a 6-inch screen with HD display. It will run on a deca-core MediaTek processor, which can be assumed is the Helio X20. This will be backed up by an amazing amount of 4 GB of RAM.

The two flagships are, no doubt, very enticing when it comes to their physical design and it surely helps that their specs are truly outstanding as well. As mentioned on The Verge, Acer actually boasts of the fact that the Predator 6 smartphone can handle any kind of Android game the user wants to play on it.

The pricing is still a bit unclear, but as for its release dates, GSM Arena, reports that the Predator 8 tablet may be released this September, which will soon be followed by the Predator 6.
