2016 Ford Bronco release date will be some time in second half of 2016
Since its debut more than four decades ago in 1966, the Bronco has been among the top releases for Ford. To date, there have already been five generations in the Ford line. It was discontinued years back, but the car manufacturer has recently announced the vehicle's revival with the production of the 2016 Ford Bronco.
The announcement of the resurrection of the Ford Bronco came to the surprise of many car enthusiasts, especially with the product line having been absent for almost twenty years. Ford and other automobile-centric websites have since reported what can be expected from the upcoming vehicle.
Although the new Ford Bronco is still in the developing stages, Ford has indicated that the new model will almost look like the F-150 pick-up.
Cars Concept 2016 speculates that there may be possibility that the Bronco will have three engine versions. First is a 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine that produces 420 horsepower; the second one is a 4.9-liter Powerstroke V6 diesel engine that boasts 330 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque; and the third engine version is a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 engine that can generate up to 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque.
As to its transmission, the new 2016 Ford Bronco might have two versions potential buyers can choose from: the 6R140 6-speed automatic transmission or the ZF 6-speed manual transmission.
Leaked concept photos of the 2016 Ford Bronco show that the SUV will still feature the classic rugged look of its ancestors from 1966 to 1996 but modern touches are added such as the touchscreen display and adjustable seats.
The 2016 Ford Brocno is expected to be out in the market by the second half of 2016.
