John Cena, Sasha Banks, and World Wrestling Entertainment legend Ultimate Warrior were the first three characters that were unveiled by game developer 2K and WWE as playable characters in the upcoming WWE 2K17 game.

It was revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in Los Angeles that ended on June 16. The characters were unveiled on a large mural painting made by artist Rob Schamberger. 2K asked for Schamberger's help in making the said artwork be seen by fans and spectators of the said E3 event.

John Cena has been with WWE for quite some time now and he has already established his name in the sports entertainment industry. He's a 15-time world champion and starred in numerous film projects in which the most recent was his participation in the film "Trainwreck." Hence, fans of the "WWE 2K" franchise may have seen this coming.

Sasha "Legit Boss" Banks is no pushover. Her skills, quickness, and agility inside the ring helped her make it as one of the first characters who'll be included in the forthcoming WWE game. WWE fans can still recall her entrance with rapper Snoop Dogg in Wrestlemania 32 last Apr. 3. She may have lost the first-ever WWE Women's championship title to Charlotte, but Banks gave her a good beating before she was thrown out of the ring.

Moreover, WWE hall of famer Ultimate Warrior (James Brian Hellwig) is considered by many to be one of the wildest and the most energetic wrestling superstars who have ever stepped foot inside the WWE ring. During his prime, he has battled the likes of Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Ted DiBiase, Hulk Hogan, and even Andre the Giant.

WWE 2K17 was developed by Yuke's and in partnership with 2K's sister studio, Visual Concepts. It was also confirmed that wrestling superstar Bill Goldberg will be the game cover for the upcoming WWE game. Furthermore, there was a pre-order trailer for the said game, suggesting that fans will be getting two playable versions of the mentioned wrestler free of charge if they'll order before the game's release date.

WWE 2K17 is set to be released this coming fall.
