Track your brushing habits via a Bluetooth toothbrush
Oral-B changes the way on how dentists can monitor their patient's brushing habits through its new Bluetooth-enabled toothbrush. The Bluetooth toothbrush comes with an app that can be controlled via Bluetooth 4.0.
The app can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices. It will receive toothbrushing data from the electronic toothbrush. It can provide details like how long you brushed and whether you are applying too much pressure on your teeth.
It will also track your every brush stroke, collect data and chart your progress. This new technology in brushing will give you real-time guidance when it comes to the needs of your teeth.
This is the smartest toothbrush in history as it makes sure you brush your teeth properly. It is also keeps your dentist updated with the records of your brushing habits that will help in taking care of your teeth.
Launched and introduced the concept at Mobile World Congress 2014, Oral-B will start spreading the technology to its upcoming Oral-B electric toothbrushes.
As announced by Oral-B on its connectedtoothbrush.com website, the first wave of toothbrushes to use this technology and the Oral-B app will be available globally in June 2014.
"It provides the highest degree of user interaction to track your oral care habits to help improve your oral health, and we believe it will have significant impact on the future of personal oral care, providing data-based solutions for oral health, and making the relationship between dental professionals and patients a more collaborative one," said Wayne Randall, global vice president of Oral Care at Procter and Gamble.
