'Tom Clancy's The Division' news, update: Player trading won't be included upon launch, might be released in the future

The upcoming apocalyptic shooter game from Ubisoft, "Tom Clancy's The Division," will sadly not come with the player trading system upon launch on March 8, 2016, according to what Associate Creative Director Julian Gerighty said to Games Radar during his interview.

As it turned out, the studio has completely different priorities in terms of "Tom Clancy's The Division" features for its launch, which is the main reason why they had to remove the player trading system for the game.

Luckily, though, Gerighty has reassured fans, especially the ones who are into the trading system, will still get the feature. "It's something that obviously some people are very passionate about," the creative director said. "It'll maybe make an appearance in the future."

This isn't actually the first time Ubisoft has changed some of their plans for "The Division," or even removed some of its features. A perfect example for this is the map settings of the game, which is now going to be Midtown Manhattan instead of Brooklyn, which was shown during the company's E3 2013 appearance.

The Companion app for the game has also been removed from the features that will be available during launch, as reported on Games Radar.

Meanwhile, fans that are really eager to try out the game can now register in the open Beta of "The Division," which will happen later this month. To be more specific, though, the Xbox One Beta of the IP will kick off on Jan. 28 while the PlayStation 4 and PC play test will begin on Jan. 29. The title's Beta will end on the last day of the month, if Ubisoft doesn't encounter any kind of delay with the launch, that is.

Players who have already bought the Humble Bundle for "Tom Clancy's" games, especially pack that costs more than $10, will get to receive a guaranteed spot in the coming Beta.
