Three Bible verses to help you in decision-making

Decisions are an integral part of our everyday interactions. Even the smallest matters such as which route to take when driving, what words to utter, or how to approach a stranger can have a significant impact on your life. Anything is possible. Every decision that you make — no matter how insignificant — can directly or indirectly affect not only your future but also the future of those around you.

Thus, it is important that you make decisions wisely. Do not be hasty when assigning your convictions.  Read these Bible verses to align your judgments with the will of the Holy Father.

1.  "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6)."

People, animals, and other creations are nothing without God. Whenever you lack wisdom, understanding, and patience, ask for God's mercy and He will grant your heart's desire. Moreover, in making decisions, whether in difficult or trivial situations, speak to God that every word you utter, every thought that lurks in your mind, and every act you perform may reflect the greatness of the Holy Father.

2. "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5–6)."

People find it hard to make everyday choices including which career path to take or which job offer to accept. Whenever faced with challenging situations, and you feel lost and alone, note that there is God. He sees, He knows, and He rescues. Shut your world and rest all your worries to Him. Then you will see the way He has long prepared for you.

3. "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7)."

Be transparent enough to let the world see the beauty that God has willingly bestowed upon you. Do not speak ill things and commit to wrongdoings. Submit yourself fully to the Lord, and He shall open the road to let the light come your way.

Let God be the center of all your decisions in life. Ask for His help whenever, wherever. Call to Him and pray for His will to be done. Then you will know that you have made the right decision. All you need to do is to finally commit to the decision to make God the center of your life. He has always been there, just waiting for you to call His name and come for His warm embrace.
