'Thor: Ragnarok' cast news, release date: New leaked poster sees Thor, Hulk in gladiator gear; John Cena to cameo?

(Facebook/Thor)A new poster for "Thor: Ragnarok" has allegedly been leaked.

"Thor: Ragnarok" may just have a new movie poster out. Apparently first released in Thailand, the poster sees the titular God of Thunder and the green giant, Hulk, all dressed for battle in a very stylized manner.

According to Comicbookmovie.com, the poster is reportedly a leaked promo art. The two heroes are dressed similarly to Valkyrie, as the plot will supposedly follow the "Planet Hulk" storyline. Thor will look for the Hulk and find him competing in gladiator battles. They will escape from the arena, with the help of Valkyrie, another gladiator.

However, the authenticity of the poster remains to be seen. Marvel has not confirmed it to be real as of yet, so it is unknown if it is merely fan-made. As a result, fans are advised to take this news with a grain of salt.

The upcoming film will introduce a lot of new faces, including Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster, Karl Urban's Skurge the Executioner, and Cate Blanchett's Hela, goddess of the Asgardian underworld. As previously reported, Blanchett's performance has been praised by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who expressed his excitement about the actress' involvement.

"I would be psyched if I were you. Put it this way: Her part is wrapped, and we haven't done any effects yet," Feige said. "Even without any effects at all — I'm talking dots on her costume, and green screen — it's amazing."

In other cast news, there has been talk of WWE wrestler John Cena possibly making a cameo appearance in the sequel. According to reports, the wrestler-turned-actor might be playing himself in the film, as a recruit from Earth who will also fight in the gladiator arena. The publication posits that Cena may be enlisted by the Grandmaster, since the character is known for collecting mighty warriors, in order to have them compete in battles.

However, it is unknown if there is any truth to this claim, as some reports say that the information came from the film's IMDb page.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will premiere on Nov. 3, 2017.
