"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" DLC is rumored to get an April release, but the development team at the CD Projekt RED remains tight-lipped.

When a fan asked Marcin Momot, community lead and website coordinator of the game studio, about "any news on when I'll be able to visit [Toussaint]," he said he can't share anything yet. Toussaint is where the said expansion game will take place.

The speculation got more intense when reputable Poland gaming website GryOnline updated its "Blood and Wine" informational page. It listed the game with a release date of April 26, which fans believe is too specific to be a placeholder. However, the page has now been updated to suggest a 2016 release.

The certain thing about the upcoming DLC expansion, though, is that it will be the last chapter to tell the story of Geralt. In a talk with Eurogamer-Italy (roughly translated via Google Translate), senior story writer of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Jakub Szamalek, revealed: "With 'Blood and Wine' we will try to close, at least for a while, the Witcher universe. It will be the last adventure of Geralt as the main character. But beyond that there is still nothing written in stone. 'Blood and Wine' will be our conclusion of Geralt's story, then it's time to focus our energy for 'Cyberpunk 2077.'"

He further explained that "Blood and Wine" has diverted a bit from the plot of the main game. He said that in the original "Wild Hunt," the team behind its development failed to create a "charismatic enemy."

"We also created a rather complex story that we believe players will appreciate," he added.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" has so far released 16 DLC expansions, including the highly regarded "Heart of Stone" that received solid reviews from big names in the gaming industry. The base game, along with all its additional content, is becoming one of the most content-packed video games of all time.
