'The Legend of Zelda' Wii U news: mechanics of gameplay rumored to be tweaked
Many old school gamers have probably been eagerly waiting for the upcoming "The Legend of Zelda" game for the Wii U. Unfortunately, Nintendo, the publisher of the franchise, has remained oddly quiet. However, there are a couple of rumors currently circulating the web, which indicate that aside from a new feature, new mechanics will also be introduced in the IP.
According to Christian Today, there have been several rumors doing their rounds on the Internet, which point out a new kind of feature that can be expected in "The Legend of Zelda" for the Wii U platform.
The rumor, which was first reported on Movie Pilot, suggests that players who are roaming the overworld will have the chance to randomly encounter a boss in various areas. If this turns out to be accurate, it could potentially change the way players approach the game, as well as drastically change their strategies when playing.
Of course, since news about "The Legend of Zelda" have been scarce for the past few months, many eager fans have resorted to sharing their own pieces of advice and suggesting a couple of wonderful ideas for the game.
Zelda Informer, a website made by die-hard fans of the franchise, suggests Nintendo to avoid giving "The Legend of Zelda" for Wii U a drastic overhaul or some aesthetic changes.
However, since Nintendo is still being quiet with the details of the game, there's still no confirmation as to whether they will really change the graphics of the game or if they will simply add the mentioned mechanics to the future title.
Despite the lack of confirmed news reports, Nintendo game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, assures fans that "The Legend of Zelda" is definitely coming to the Wii U. "We're here to talk about 'Star Fox' but 'Zelda' is still coming to Wii U," Miyamoto told IGN last June at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015.
"So don't worry about that," he added.
The release date, however, remains indefinite.
