'The Legend of Zelda' Wii U news: 2016 launch date delayed after Nintendo financial report
Nintendo, the creator of many memorable franchises like "Super Mario" and "Pokemon," has recently released their Q3 financial earnings report that includes the comeback for the release window of the much awaited "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U title, which is now slated to launch sometime this 2016, according to Nintendo.
Some fans were kind of worried that the Wii U port of "The Legends of Zelda" might not even come out this year but thanks to Nintendo's earnings report release, gamers can now rest assure that the IP will certainly come out, if the developer doesn't encounter any kind of delay like what happened last August 2015 where it was originally set to be released.
Unfortunately, though, the published report did not indicate any kind of specific launch date, just the timeframe as to when "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U will be available in the market. So for now, it is highly advisable for the fans to wait for further announcements coming from the publisher regarding this matter.
Furthermore, there have been some rumors circulating last year indicating that "The Legend of Zelda" might even make it to the company's next-gen console, specifically the Nintendo NX. However, this was not mentioned in the financial report from the game company. So with that in mind, it's best to take this news with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, the other titles for the Wii U platform that were included on the report are as follows: "Fire Emblem: Fates," The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" (slated for March 4, 2016 release), "Star Fox Zero" (expected to come out this April in North America), "Pokken Tournament" (to come out on March 18, 2016 in the United States region), and more.
Head over to the published report from Nintendo to find out more details regarding their sales for the year 2015 and the upcoming games this year.
