'The Good Wife' season 6 episode 15 spoilers: tensions between Kurt and Diane, while romance blossoms between Alicia and Jonathan
With the race for State Attorney's office heating up, Alicia Florrick has new challenges coming up and episode 16 of season six will show that even her husband can prove essential to the campaign.
"Open Source" that is airing this Sunday, will see Frank Prady, Alicia's competition for the office, attacking Governor Peter's record as a campaign tactic, according to CBS's official episode synopsis. Alicia is then faced with the decision of whether or not to do the same. Florrick/Agos/Lockhart take the case of a man paralyzed by a malfunctioning gun created on a 3D printer. Diane's husband, Kurt McVeigh, is called to testify as an expert witness which will cause a conflict between him and his wife.
Meanwhile, a 20-second trailer for the upcoming episode clearly depicts a romance brewing between Alicia and her campaign manager, Jonathan Elfman. Ever since Will Gardner's shocking death in a courtroom, devoted members of the audience have been wondering who the she will date next. The clip shows Alicia preparing for the interview but towards the end the pair get intimate. Is Jonathan Alicia's new love?
Christine Baranski, who expertly portrays the role of Diane Lockhart, spoke about the rift between her character and her husband to TVLine. She teased that the couple go on a surprising tangent and that actor Gary Cole, who plays Kurt, will be seen in several episodes. She talked of their marriage saying, "It's so great to see that two people can be married and disagree politically and have a political discourse that doesn't derail the relationship."
Fans are also wondering what happened to investigator Robyn Burdine who has been MIA since the second episode of the season. Showrunner Robert King assured TVLine at the PaleyFest that she'll be back and is silently working at the office. Due to actress Jess Weixler's auditions in LA, King wasn't able to weave her character in the plot. But he did say "she'll be right back in the thick of things".
