'The Blacklist' season 3 episode 9 spoilers, news: Can Liz Keen live long enough until her court trial?

(NBC/official Facebook page)Liz goes to trial for the attorney general's murder.

A part of "The Blacklist" synopsis was released by NBC for season 3 episode 9 titled "The Director" in a sneak peak video. Viewers will soon witness the much awaited courtroom trail for Liz Keen (Megan Boone), which is a special directive coming from the White House to avoid any manipulation from the Cabal. It will be a dangerous situation for Liz since the Director (David Stratharin) and the Cabal want her gone before she can tell her story in the closed court trial. They only have three hours to kill Liz before she arrives at her destination.

The FBI will have a big job in keeping Liz safe while transporting her. In the sneak peak video shown by NBC, Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) is escorting Liz together with some armed FBI officers. Viewers are to expect a clash between the FBI and the people ordered by the Director, who planned for Liz's death.

It is still a big question if he will succeed, but the line he said in the sneak peak video does not offer any comfort for fans. "Three hours to make one woman go away? We have collapsed entire governments in less time," he snarled. This certainly sounds like the villainous Director is determined to kill Liz whatever it takes and he knows just what he's doing.

If fans may recall, back in the season 2 finale, Liz shot and killed the attorney general of the United States. She had killed the attorney general because he was a terrorist. Liz is now being accused of the crime and is under FBI custody.

Fans are surely hoping that Reddingdon and Ressler will be able to keep Liz alive long enough until her closed trial. For now, fans will just have to wait and take the time to relax until the "The Blacklist" airs on Jan. 7  at 10pm E.T. on NBC.
