'The 100' season 3 spoilers: Two-part finale sees Clark and Roan working together; what is Alie's master plan in episode 15?

"The 100's" bloodiest and most brutal season is wrapping up and Clarke is at the end of her rope, so much so that she's teaming up with Roan in a last-ditch effort to stop Alie. But will this new alliance succeed when others have not?

The previous episode saw Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the other delinquents just meeting failure after failure. Murphy (Richard Harmon) backed off in his attempt to destroy Alie (Erica Cerra) at the last minute, while the A.I. barely escaped Raven's (Lindsey Morgan) kill switch. Meanwhile, Clarke attempted to convince Luna (Nadia Hilker) to take the Flame but to no avail. When the warrior refused to listen to entreaties, Clarke tried to force the chip in her. Unfortunately, Luna revealed herself to be a better and stronger warrior and easily disarmed Clarke.

Despite their dire situation, it's said that Clarke will find hope in the most unlikely place in episode 15, "Perverse Instantiation – Part One." However, Alie's master plan starts to come together.

A trailer for the first of the two-part finale teases how desperate Clarke has become as she teams up with an old enemy. The short clip starts with Jaha (Isaiah Washington) entering the Polis' throne room to reveal Alie sitting on the throne. Clarke is then shown talking to Roan (Zach McGowan). She tells her nemesis that their enemy is after everything and that they need each other. Surprisingly, Roan asks her when they'll be leaving.

Bellamy (Bob Morley) is obviously not happy about the plan and confronts Clarke about her willingness to trust Roan. His fears might have merit as Roan is later seen walking inside Polis with a bound and gagged Clarke. It appears to just be a ploy, though, but one that's in danger of unraveling as one scene shows Monty (Christopher Larkin) saying that they're walking into a trap. Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) is also shown walking toward someone, his gun drawn as someone tries to stop him from behind. He might have been headed toward Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), who looks like she's been caught. The clip ends with Bellamy, his weapon at the ready, saying "something is wrong" just as a room explodes.

Episode 15 will undoubtedly bring more pain and hardship for the embattled delinquents. Unfortunately, part two of the season 3 finale doesn't sound too hopeful either. For even as it's described as an "epic and mind-bending conclusion," it also hints that Clarke or whoever will survive the finale will soon be facing the reality of their hopeless situation.

The CW will be airing episode 15 of "The 100" season 3 on May 12 at 9 p.m.
