'Teen Wolf' season 5 spoilers: Scott and his pack attempt to rescue Liam and Hayden in episode 8
Things are ramping up fast in "Teen Wolf's" fifth season and fans are kept at the edge of their seats wondering if Dr. Alan Deaton will be able to discover anything about the Dread Doctors that will aid Scott and his friends in their planned rescue mission of Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Hayden (Victoria Moroles).
In this season's seventh episode, titled "Strange Frequencies," potential villain, Theo (Cody Christian), had a short bonding moment with Stiles (Dylan O' Brien) and managed to convince him to help him hide the truth about Josh's death. Meanwhile, wolf leader, Scott (Tyler Posey), and the gang, along with police officer Parrish (Ryan Kelley), came up with a plan to capture one of the Dread Doctors. Unfortunately, their plan backfired horribly and Liam and the chimera Hayden were captured instead, with the doctors immediately experimenting on them. It makes sense that getting their friends back is the "Teen Wolf's" gang's prime directive, but it will not be easy.
The next episode's title - "Ouroboros" – is particularly telling. An "ouroboros" is known as "the serpent biting, devouring, or eating its own tail." One of the oldest mythological symbols in the world, it symbolizes infinity and the duality in one's nature. In a sense, the hybrid supernatural creatures might be a representation of this duality.
The title might also be a hint as to who, or what, Parrish is. He was seen as being immune to fire last season and fans are thinking he might be similar to a phoenix, a mystical creature that is also a symbol of infinity, with its endless cycle of death and rebirth.
While fans are having a field day interpreting every clue they can get, what is clear is that rescuing Liam and Hayden will be nigh impossible without the help of veterinarian Dr. Deaton (Seth Gilliam) who is set to make "a horrific discovery about the Dread Doctors."
Aside from finally learning more about the Dread Doctors, fans can also look forward to finally meeting the elusive Desert Wolf. The search for the rare creature might finally be over as "NCIS" star, Marisol Nichols, has reportedly been cast to portray the Desert Wolf. Her appearance is said to have a tremendous impact on the well-being of the characters as it's rumored that she's Malia's (Shelley Hennig) mother.
