Many players are looking for cheap games to get their hands on right now, but unfortunately for them, the folks over at Steam may not be planning to have a major sale until the summer.

With the calendar turning to spring, a lot of players have begun to think that a sale to celebrate the season is on its way, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Recently, an increasing number of Steam users are flocking over to the platform's forum discussions to ask about any upcoming spring sale, and it appears that even avid gamers are unsure if there will be one.

Right now, most players seem to believe that a major spring sale is not in the works.

Another reason to believe that a spring sale may not be coming is players were able to take advantage of numerous deals just last month. Back in February, Steam held a Lunar New Year sale that offered discounts on thousands of different titles.

With that sale still relatively fresh in the minds of many gamers, it may not be necessary for Steam to offer numerous deals yet again so soon.

Still, even if Steam ultimately doesn't hold a major spring sale, players can still likely expect a bunch of smaller deals to be offered for certain titles in the coming weeks. While a major spring event may not be in the cards, players can still look forward to the big summer sale that is expected to arrive in the next few months.

Last year, the summer sale began right around the middle of June and lasted for nearly two weeks. Although no official details about the summer sale have been provided, it's still likely to take place right around the same time this year.
