'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' plot rumors: Rey to discover she is Anakin Skywalker's reincarnation while training

(Facebook/Star Wars movies)Rumors claim that Rey will discover in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" that she is Anakin Skywalker's reincarnated self.

While "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is not expected to arrive earlier than December this year, there are already several rumors on how its story will possibly pan out. If the latest reports are to be believed, it is likely for the highly anticipated movie to reveal that Rey (Daisy Ridley) is actually the incarnation of Anakin Skywalker.

According to reports, although the alleged leak on the script of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is not an indication that the movie will, indeed, run on the said storyline, there is no denying that the theories are plausible and likely to be the case. Hence, although the supposed leak first surfaced via Reddit more than a year ago, it continues to circulate online and blow the minds of "Star Wars" fans.

To the uninitiated, a certain Redditor (a person who participates in the online discussions on the said website) claims that Rey is in fact Darth Vader himself who has been reincarnated through The Force. As Rey is Darth Vader's reincarnated self, the incognito theorist believes that it could be the very reason why she is naturally powerful, just like Anakin Skywalker before he failed in his mission to bring balance to The Force and eventually fell to the dark side.

The said Redditor also believes that Rey's ability to have vivid Force visions and her connection to Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber point to one reason: She is Anakin Skywalker, and she will discover this as she trains in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

While there is no denying that the said theory is mind-blowing and sensible, indeed, fans are advised to take everything with a grain of salt for now as it is nothing more than a theory that will only be revealed as true or otherwise once the movie arrives later this year.

What is certain, though, is that, despite Carrie Fisher's death last December, her character General Leia Organa will still be seen in the upcoming movie as she had finished filming her scenes before her shocking demise.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" hits theaters this Dec. 15.
