'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' rumor: Yoda returning in the latest movie as a Force ghost?

It's no secret: "Star Wars" classic trilogy characters Princess Leia and Han Solo will be appearing in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." And despite his absence from the last trailer and poster, Luke Skywalker is also expected to be involved in the film (and even in the next one) in one way or another. But it seems the attack of the oldie characters does not end there. If rumours prove to be true, then one very iconic Jedi is also making an appearance.

Who does not love Yoda? No one, definitely. And both old and new fans of Star Wars will love to know that the Jedi Grand Master just might show himself in the new movie, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." According to Star Wars News Net, a source informed them about a dubbing for a scene with Yoda.

"I know someone who works in the ****** media (dubbing) who assured me that there was indeed a scene with Yoda in 'The Force Awakens,'" the source was quoted as saying.

Obviously, Yoda cannot return in flesh, given that Episode VII is set some 30 years after "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi," when the old Jedi died at the age of 900. But he can definitely make an appearance as a Force ghost, much like what he did towards the end of Episode VI.

Apparently, the online source had been hinting at the return of Yoda and insists that it will be awesome and more than just fan service. Some fans have added to these speculations, also adding that Luke just might have been communicating to the Force ghost Yoda in the 30 years approaching "The Force Awakens." If that proves true, then Luke will be a stronger, more amazing Jedi that is almost as strong as the old Jedi.

Of course, much of these remain speculation and wishful thinking for now. The good thing is, people no longer have to wait long to find out the answers. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" debuts in theatres this Dec. 18.
