Post production is underway for "Star Wars: Episode 8." Right now, details about the upcoming sequel are scarce and, based on Mark Hamill's description, it certainly looks like the studio is going through extreme lengths, in order to keep it that way.

While speaking to Polygon, Hamill talked about his new show with Lionsgate, "Mark Hamill's Pop Culture Quest." The actor also talked about the upcoming "Star Wars" film and said that he's been so busy with it that he found it difficult to allocate time for his show. Hamill also revealed that Episode 8 is being kept so tightly under wraps that he can't even give any teasers or make any comments.

"Man, I can't say anything about anything. It's like working for the CIA," Hamill told the publication. "You get your pages in the morning, and they take them from you as you walk so they can shred them before it somehow leaks. You have security lines you have to walk through, both to and from set. And, not to mention, you have to wear these big monk hoods to protect your costume from drones."

Hamill added that he was taken aback by the reaction that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" got from fans and echoed his earlier statement that he is unable to say anything about the sequel because "they're so incredibly strict."

However, "The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams did tease that Rey's (Daisy Ridley) connection to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will be revealed in Episode 8. Fans are also wondering how Rey is related to Hamill's Luke Skywalker, with some believing that the two may be father and daughter. However, there are also rumors claiming that Rey may be of Kenobi ancestry.

New characters are also going to be introduced in the sequel, which will be directed by Rian Johnson this time around. Benicio del Toro is playing a mysterious character dressed in all black with a questionable moral compass. Laura Dern, on the other hand, is said to be playing a fancy character donning an intricate dress and pink hair. Finally, newcomer Kelly Marie Tran will be portraying a character involved in Finn's (John Boyega) storyline.

"Star Wars: Episode 8" will premiere on Dec. 15, 2017.
