Sony Xperia Z3v receives Verizon release date on October 23, specs include PS4 remote play, waterproof
Sony has just announced the release date of the newest addition to the Xperia Z3 series – the Xperia Z3v, which will be coming to Verizon on Oct. 23 with some exciting new specs.
"Xperia Z3v brings many of our latest innovations and standout features to Verizon customers in the US, such as the highest waterproof rating, Hi-Res Audio support, PlayStation®4 gaming through PS4™ Remote Play and the camera expertise of our Cyber-shot and Handycam divisions in the 20.7MP camera. In addition, we've collaborated with Verizon to bring some additional capabilities with their customer in mind, such as wireless charging using the latest inductive 'Qi' technology," the official press release said.
This top-of-the line Sony Xperia Z3v sports some killer specs that include a 5.2-inch screen with 1080p full HD, 20.7 rear-facing camera, BIONZ™ for mobile processing engine, 32 GB internal memory and S-Force Front Surround for stereo speakers.
"Our industry-leading 4G LTE network is what our customers have come to rely on when they want to experience first-class products and unique experiences on their mobile devices," said Jeff Dietel, Verizon Wireless Vice President of Marketing.
Dietel added, "The opportunity for Verizon customers to connect with Sony's broad ecosystem of mobility products – including the Z2 Tablet and the new Z3v smartphone – backed by unparalleled content, is exactly what we want to bring to market."
The Sony Xperia Z3v is also one of the first smartphones, designed to integrate with PlayStation 4 Remote Play.
Players can simply connect their smartphones to PS4 console via home Wi-Fi, and use it as a DUALSHOCK controller.
