Avid fans of the "Sherlock" series are on a high as reports began circulating that the cast and crew of the show are soon to start filming for its fourth season episodes in no less than the exotic Marrakesh in Morocco.

The Huffington Post Morocco confirmed recently that the "Sherlock" team is headed there, but more importantly, why is everyone's favorite detective going to Marrakesh? Could it be for a scene related to the detective's drug-induced hallucinations or perhaps a new story plot that will take them to the said North African country. With very little clues and still a long way to go before the show starts airing their fourth season premiere, fans are only too happy to content themselves with the current guessing game of what's to happen next in the series.

On the other hand, news abound that new people are coming in to add even more flavor to the show. According to BBC, actor Toby Jones ("The Secret Agent," "The Girl") is set to star in the second episode of the upcoming three-part series.

Jones said, "I'm excited and intrigued by the character I shall be playing in 'Sherlock.'"

In the same interview, the show's executive producer and co-writer Steven Moffatt mentioned being "delighted to have Toby Jones on board, bringing to life one of Doyle's finest villains." The producer failed to clarify, though, as to which particular villain Jones is about to portray.

Promising tons of laughter, tears, surprises and a bunch of extraordinary cases, BBC announced that "Sherlock" season 4 will begin with Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) being back on British soil as his friend Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman) and wife Mary (Amanda Abbington) prepare themselves for becoming first-time parents.

"Sherlock" is a BBC series created by Mark Gatiss and Moffatt, and is largely inspired by the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The first episode of the upcoming season is set to be released sometime in January 2017.
