Samsung might have launched the huge Galaxy View tablet last year, but it appears that the company has another big tablet in the works. Rumors of this particular 12-inch tablet again started making rounds a few days back when the device got its wireless certification.

Reporting on the unnamed 12-inch tablet from Samsung, GSMArena states that rumors of such a tablet have been circulating online for quite some time. In the latest sighting, the tablet with the model number SM-W700 got its Wi-Fi certification.

The first rumors about the tablet's development emerged in August 2015 but subsequently, all attention shifted to the Galaxy View tablet. However, since the Galaxy View has already been released, industry pundits have started to refocus on the 12-inch tablet, which is thought to have the Windows 10 operating system onboard.

Having the Windows 10 OS will no doubt give the tablet an edge as it is considered to be superior to Android, which is normally used on tablets released by Samsung. The use of Windows 10 also indicates that Samsung is interested in the tablet/laptop hybrid market and might have an offering in the segment.

As for the other specs of the tablet, rumors indicate that it will be powered by an Intel Core M processor, which has been created with the 14nm manufacturing process. Coming to the resolution of the display, it could range up to 3840 x 2400 pixels. It is also likely that the device will have 4 GB RAM onboard to ensure that users do not experience any lag. As with other tablet/laptop hybrids, it is thought that this particular tablet from Samsung will come with an S-Pen.

Apple recently brought out the iPad Pro and it is likely that Samsung is planning a similar offering to take it on. However, since the existence of the 12-inch tablet is just a rumor right now, only time will tell if such as device will be released.
