Samsung SMART Camera NX30 and WB50F scores two 2014 TIPA Awards

Samsung's leading position in delivering top-tier innovative imaging products to the market is being recognized by Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), with two awards recently awarded the South Korean tech giant. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd announced on Wednesday that its cameras had won both the "Best CSC Advanced," and "Best Easy Compact Camera" awards for its SMART Camera NX30 and WB50F respectively.

The judges acknowledged the NX30's advanced APS-C CMOS sensor at 20.3 megapixels, which allows taking of rich color and high quality images. Its NX AF System II also gives accurate and fast auto focusing, thanks to the very fast shutter speed of 1/8000, as well as the nine-frame continuous shooting per second. Its unique Tiltable Electronic Viewfinder enables NX30 to discover a new perspective easily. The Tag & Go feature makes sharing images among users possible via NFC/Wi-Fi connectivity.

Meanwhile, Samsung WB50F, the "Best Easy Compact Camera" is recognized for its stylish and sleek design, as well as for its Soft Flash feature which makes creating soft, naturally lit, light, crisp and bright images possible. WB50F also has a 16 MP CCD sensor and a superb 12x optical zoom so its users can capture every detail. The Tag & Go function with the cutting-edge NFC/Wi-Fi connectivity easily pairs the device with smartphones to share images.
