Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 vs. Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD : Samsung's offering is a clear winner
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 from Samsung was just recently released and it is clear that the device will have a lot of competition from existing tablets in the market including the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD . Here is how these two feature-laden tablets compare in a face off.
Design
The Yoga Tablet 10 HD has great looks and comes with a striking metal cylinder along one edge that supports a kickstand, but otherwise, it is mostly made of plastic. As for colors, it only has one option, gray, and it does not have a fingerprint scanner — a feature present on the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7.
As for the Samsung-made tablet, it does not have a kickstand but it could be used with a keyboard just like its predecessor which was released last year. As for its build, it has a solid metal frame but its back is made of plastic.
Display
The display on the Yoga Tablet 10 HD consists of an IPS LCD screen measuring 10.1 inches with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a density of 224 pixels per inch and is bigger than the version on its competitor. The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, as its name implies, has a super AMOLED screen measuring 9.7 inches with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a density of 264 pixels per inch.
Specs
The tablet from Lenovo has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset and a CPU with four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU. As for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, it comes with a better octa-core CPU comprised of four cores clocked at 1.9 GHz and four clocked 1.3 GHz.
Memory
Comparing their RAM, the Yoga Tablet 10 HD has 2 GB while the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 has 3 GB. The device from Samsung also has a memory slot that allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage while the slot on its competitor allows for the addition of 64 GB.
Price
The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD costs around $420 on Amazon while the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is yet to be revealed.
