Samsung Galaxy S7 news: Next Galaxy handset spotted on AnTuTu sporting Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820
Samsung's next flagship, the highly rumored Samsung Galaxy S7, was recently spotted carrying Qualcomm's next chipset, the Snapdragon 820, on the benchmark platform AnTuTu, according to the latest post on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, through Google Translate.
The mobile, which carries a model number of SM-G935A, was powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor when it passed through AnTuTu. It was also detailed on the post that the Samsung Galaxy S7 was running on Android's latest operating system build, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which might point out to the possibility that the handset might come with the OS right out of the box.
Aside from the chipset and OS, the photo on the post also revealed an Adreno 530 graphic processing unit (GPU) that will be integrated on the SD820. Furthermore, the phone will be supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory capacity. Unfortunately, though, the photo does not include any details about the expandable memory feature of the Samsung Galaxy S7.
As for its screen, the variant that passed through the benchmark platform was the 5.1-inch version with a resolution display of 2,560 x 1,440. Furthermore, the Galaxy S7 is now expected to be equipped with a 12 MP BRITCELL camera for its main (or the back) and a 5 MP front-facing snapper.
However, Samsung has also unveiled their latest in-house chipset, the Exynos 8890, and fans are now wondering how the South Korean-based manufacturer will distribute these two chipsets to the other two variants, the 5.5-inch and the 6-inch model.
This recent benchmark spotting for the Galaxy S7 doesn't confirm the chipset that will be used on the future flagship. Needless to say, since Samsung still hasn't released any statements, it is highly advisable for the fans to take this update with a pinch of salt for now and consider this as a mere speculation until proven otherwise.
