Samsung Galaxy C7 specs and features rumors: Device spotted on GFXBench

(www.samsung.com)Galaxy C7 could be similar to the A8.

With Samsung devoting more time fleshing out its midrange smartphone lineup and tasting a lot of success with them, the company looks set to bring out another new device soon. This particular device, if rumors are taken into account, is the Galaxy C7 and it was lately spotted on a benchmark database.

Based on the listing for the Galaxy C7 on the GFXBench, it clearly shows the device having a 5.5-inch display. The display, however, does not match the listing for the device that was spotted on the export/import database Zauba. In the Zauba listing, the device was spotted with a larger 5.7-inch display.

As for the rest of the specs for the Galaxy C7 on GFXBench, they match those that were seen on the AnTuTu listing for the device. This includes a SD625 chipset, along with 4 GB RAM. As for the memory, there is 32 GB on board and the rear-facing camera is a 16-megapixel version, while the front-facing camera is thought to be an 8-megapixel version.

Importantly, with the rumors about the "C" series of smartphones increasing, it appears that Samsung is close to launching this new lineup to add to its extensive offerings, which cover a wide range of letters in the alphabet. These rumors about the new devices arriving also point to another device, the Galaxy C5, releasing along with the C7. However, both these devices are going to have similar metal bodies and slim build.

This inclusion of metal bodies on the Galaxy C7 and the C5 is a clear pointer that Samsung is putting premium materials on its smartphone after opting for a plastic build for several years. With the metal build, these two upcoming smartphones will be attractive offerings for customers who are considering buying relatively cheap phones with metal bodies. Finally, in terms of release date, the Galaxy C7 is expected to arrive sometime next month.
