Samsung Galaxy A9 news: Phone is tipped to come with a 6 inch display
The Galaxy "A" lineup from Samsung which includes the A8 and A7 has proved to very popular, and it looks likely that the company is planning to release the A9 before the year ends. As several rumors about the device have hit the internet it is appears that the Korean manufacture could increase the display size of the device and bring it up to 6 inches.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy A9 which is going to fall smack in the mid range, will have a 6 inch display and this fact was revealed when it was spotted making its way into India for testing. The smartphone which was seen on the Zauba import database had a model number of SM-A9000 and it was also seen with several price tags.
Additionally, over the past few months the Galaxy A9 with the same model number has come into India several times and this indicates that the device is close to launch. Also there were rumors that Samsung had also brought the components of the A9 into the country for testing. Another leak last month mentioned the specs of the device when it appeared in a leaked GFXBench test.
Earlier leaks however, had indicated that the Galaxy A9 would have a 5.5 inch display, but the latest rumor pointing towards a 6 inch display means that the device will be larger than the Galaxy A8. The Galaxy A8 which was released by Samsung in July came with a 5.7 inch display and Snapdragon 615 chipset.
As for the hardware on the Galaxy A9, right now rumors indicate that it will come with a Snapdragon 620 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU along with an Adreno 510 GPU. Coming to RAM, it is thought to have 3GB on board and 32GB of internal storage. However, the device could release with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system instead of the latest Android Marshmallow.
